BIIAB Award for Licensing Practitioners
Who is the qualification for?
The BIIAB Award for Licensing Practitioners gives a broad introduction to the process of licensing.
This qualification is the first step towards professional recognition of the licensing role. A BIIAB Level 3 Advanced Certificate is planned for 2006, which will lead into university courses.
The course syllabus includes:
- the duties of a licensing authority
- applications and determination of a licence being granted
- hearing and appeal processes and procedures
- the duties of applicants
- the powers and rights of the relevant authorities to inspect licensed premises
- sanctions
What does the assessment involve?
The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners has been designed to be completed in a day (although longer tuition or self-study options may be available), and includes a short multiple-choice exam. A comprehensive handbook, presented in an easy-to-follow format, supports the qualification and covers all the information needed for the examination.
This one day course includes a 45 question multiple-choice examination and costs £150.00 per candidate which includes examination fee, handbook, and certificate (upon successful completion of examination)
